The plant located in Jackson Center, Ohio currently has the capacity to build 50 travel trailers each week. That is not nearly enough capacity to meet the rising demand. The company currently has a 3 month backlog of open orders.
The iconic design for the Airstream was modeled after an airplanes fuselage. It has been manufactured since the early 1900's and its popularity has come and gone. The tiny house movement has also been credited with increasing the demand.
